Heel Pain Clinic's of Adelaide is the only clinic in Adelaide, South Australia dedicated to the treatment of your Heel Issue. We have a mantra to become the master of one task rather than be a master of none. In the heel there are only a handful of conditions. We see them so often that we obviously get very good at fixing them. We are committed to providing high quality service to the community.
The research for that very specific region of the region believe it or not is ever changing. Every week there are new ideas, concepts and published clinical studies. We stay on top of the latest evidence to provide the most well informed treatment plans for your specific problem.

Our Staff
Jason Kuang
Jason is an enthusiastic and dedicated podiatrist whose skills incorporate all aspects of podiatry but has a special interest in acute/chronic heel injuries and rehabilitation.
Jason also graduated from the University of South Australia and has worked for a number of private practices in Adelaide. During his studies, he achieved a Merit Awards for academic excellence and is a Golden Key International Honour Society member. He enjoys keeping up to date with the latest research and learning about new technologies and treatment modalities for heel pain such as Extracorporal Shockwave Therapy.
He has extensive knowledge in lower limb biomechanics, strapping, stretching and customised prescription orthotics. He has also been trained in acupuncture/dry needling and mobilization of the foot.
Jason's passion for podiatry is derived from positively influencing the lives of others and allowing them to perform the activities they love. He implements treatment plans specifically tailored to each individual patient, which have long term benefits.
Jason has two special interests in podiatry, namely:

- Children's Heel Pain
Jason personal interest include: travelling, hiking, and playing badminton.

Jake Bowler
Jake has a strong passion for musculoskeletal, sport and biomechanics podiatry. He first decided to become a podiatrist when he was about 14 and was constantly getting injured from playing state AFL and doing long distance running. Now that he works in this profession, he can help a large variety of people, whether that be high level athletes returning to running or sedentary people who are looking at increasing their activity levels.
This ignited a passion for wanting to become a podiatrist where he could diagnose, treat & prevent reoccurring sporting injuries. He has a specific interest in designing strength and conditioning programs. Jake has a firm belief about assisting patients achieving their goals. He likes to achieve this via having a close practitioner patient relationship as he likes to keep up to date in patient’s progress week by week.
Jake has a strong passion for adjunct therapies as he likes to learn various treatment alternatives to increase his scope of practice. This consists of multiple modalities including dry needling, shockwave therapy, orthotic prescription, foot mobilization and providing general foot and nail care.
Outside of Podiatry I enjoy playing the guitar, going to the gym and playing football.
Nelson Lam
Nelson is originally from Sydney and decided to make the move to Little Olde Adelaide. Growing up, Nelson was always an active kid, partaking in sporting activities; with Tennis and Cycling being his favourite. Having experienced the repetitive cycle of injuries and rehabilitation was what fueled his drive to assist and prevent others from having recurring sport injuries.
Outside of the clinic, you'll find Nelson around the hotspots for foodies, taking photos along scenic routes whilst hiking or you might even spot him in the crowd at a concert. Nelson loves his dogs and will most likely ramble on about how cute they are.
Mim MacDonald
Mim is an enthusiastic and committed Podiatrist whose passion for podiatry developed through her love for dance. Mim danced at a high level from a young age, which allows her understand the drive to recover from injuries that are holding you back and desire to return to sport. wheather it be a social walk, casual netball game or competitive racing Mim is ready to get you back and doing what you love
Mim has in depth footwear knowledge from working at Active Feet, a specalised podiatric footwear store in Melbourne. This assisted to further develop the skills required for completing biomechanical assesments and link results to available shoes that best suit customers foot posture and biomechanics.
Mim graduated from Latrobe University in Melbourne and when not working, you will most likely find her doing a dance class,playing soccer going for a running or spending time with friends.
William Kuang
William graduated from his Podiatry degree at the University of South Australia. After graduating he moved to Melbourne to be the understudy of Melbourne's best sports podiatrists from Sports Medicine Centres of Victoria and Olympic Park Sports Medicine. During this time he treated patients from the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Demons, St Kilda Saints, Victorian Institute of Sport and the Victorian Cricket Team.
Years later, William returned back to his hometown of Adelaide to be with his family and friends. Upon his return he opened Melbourne Street Podiatry Centre in North Adelaide from scratch which is going strong today. During this time he was a guest University Lecturer in Human Movement/Sport Science at the University of South Australia for biomechanics. In 2006, William was one of the first podiatrists in Adelaide to utilise the first non-weight bearing foot scanner, replacing plaster casting in orthotic prescriptions for podiatrists.
William is a former elite level national government funded athlete with the Australian Institute of Sport between 2003-2011. He has been to over 15 countries to represent Australia. During his competitive career he experienced many injuries ranging from plantar fasciitis/heel spurs, ankle tendinitis, shin splints to an anterior cruciate rupture. His injuries gave him a direct insight to the ups and downs of what it is like to struck down with foot and leg pain.
Today, he gets more satisfaction from treating recreational athletes and people whose lives are impacted by the same injuries as elite athletes. Through being an athlete and working with elite athletes he has developed a clinical and practical understanding of what injured athletes need as part of their treatment and management plans. He has a strong interest in biomechanics, sports medicine and heel injuries.
